Artists and their Paintings

OttoFest is the most wonderful place on Earth. This was a particularly great party! Not only was it run efficiently, but we weren't plagued by thievery. Yeah, there was a little rain on Friday and Sunday morning, but not as bad as it could have (or has) been.

The whole organizing crew spent many weekends prepping the property, and we are very grateful that the Johnsons once again let us use their land. We thank Eric and Dave for cutting trails and grass the week before the party.

During the party Jackie did a great job making the clam boat happen. This was her first time! Russell, Mark, and Cathy helped a lot with the clam boat, Cornholio, Ron, and Daniel did a great job with the corn, and Brora and Connie were fantastic clamettes. Thanks to Mike for carving the meat, and thanks to the other Mike for fixing the lawn mower. Ron, Dave, and Pete Johnson and friends did a good job managing the casino. Thank you, Karen, for getting the coffee, etc., ready Sunday morning.

After the party, Laurie (with help from Rich) was a clean-up machine sorting cans and bottles, and Jamie carried a lot of cans to the top of the hill. John John spent a lot of time washing dishes, as did Dave, Peter, Dan, and Pauline, and Debbie and Bob did campsite clean-up. Cathy also helped with clean-up.

We had an awesome music line-up that was diverse and engaging. Friday was a great, mellow way to ease into the party, so let's see that continue. Thanks also to everybody who was able to head home by 3:00 pm Sunday.

Thanks for coming to the party, for cleaning your campsites, and for taking your garbage with you when you left. Be sure to keep your July 27-29, 2012 weekend free for OttoFest 35! Also, consider bringing a friend to the party. We'll probably have our first organizational meeting in April, and Jim will update the web site shortly thereafter. The recent party page can be seen here.
